Why we avoid fibre reeds.

Many brands now use fibre reeds made from a combination of cotton and polyester. While fibre reeds can sometimes offer a slightly stronger scent throw, their environmental impact is significant:

• Polyester is a plastic (PET), the same material used in disposable water bottles. It does not biodegrade and can take hundreds of years to break down in landfill.
  
• Cotton may be natural, but it requires huge amounts of water and farmland to produce.
