About Our Small Votive Soy Wax Candles

Parkminster’s Small Votive Candles are made using plant-grown soy wax and natural fragrances blended in-house. Each candle is made to order in our Fragrance Workshop, allowing the fragrance and wax to be prepared specifically for each individual candle rather than produced in advance.

At 75g, these votives are compact yet carefully proportioned, offering a controlled burn and a gentle release of fragrance. They are housed in an amber glass container, chosen to protect the wax and fragrance from light while complementing the natural appearance of soy wax. As with all hand-poured candles, subtle variations in surface finish are a natural result of the process and part of the candle’s character.

Fragrance and Burn Performance - Small Candles vs Large Candles

Small votive candles are particularly well suited to smaller spaces such as bathrooms, bedrooms, studies, and reading areas. Their size allows fragrance to develop gradually, creating a subtle presence rather than filling a room immediately.

With a burn time of 15+ hours, these candles are designed for shorter, repeated use. Soy wax burns at a lower temperature than paraffin, supporting an even melt pool and producing minimal soot. Available in 26+ fragrance blends, the range includes citrus, floral, earthy, fresh, woody, herbal, and energising scent profiles.

Using Small Votive Candles in the Home

Small votive candles work well when used individually or grouped together to create subtle layers of fragrance. In compact rooms, a single candle is often sufficient, while in slightly larger spaces several votives can be positioned to distribute scent more evenly.

As with all soy wax candles, allowing the wax to melt fully across the surface during the first burn helps maintain an even burn over time. Placing candles away from draughts and on heat-resistant surfaces supports consistent performance and longevity. Used thoughtfully, small votive candles provide a flexible way to introduce fragrance into everyday spaces without overwhelming them.
