From a very early age, I was captivated by beautiful scents. I can still remember wandering through my grand-parent's rose-scented gardens, the sweet perfume of their petals brushing my fingers, or running across freshly mown meadows, where the air was alive with the green, clean smell of grass and earth. Even the small, everyday smells fascinated me—the crisp scent of new school books, or the playful, nostalgic aroma of my collection of 1980's smelly rubbers. Each scent told a story and created a memory, shaping the way I understand fragrance as a language of emotion and calm.
Life led me down a corporate path in the events industry, and while I loved the energy and challenge, the repetition and stress gradually wore me down. Running a business of my own was a completely new concept to me, but my love of blending beautiful fragrances and the creativity of selling them remained my guiding lights. Starting Parkminster (in 2010) allowed me to follow my true passion: crafting scents that bring calm, joy, and beauty into everyday life. Every candle, reed diffuser, room mist, and bath product we create is infused with the spirit of these early sensory memories, hand-blended with care and made to order, so that each fragrance carries a sense of authenticity, comfort, and personal connection.
Even today, the smell of a newly opened essential oil, a freshly blended candle, or a simple floral bouquet can transport me back to those first moments of wonder. This joy, and the desire to share it, continues to inspire every product we make at Parkminster.
