Kiln Collection Ceramic Pot Candle – Shino Glaze | Sage Ceramics
£22.50 Unfilled | £42–£43 Hand-poured with Parkminster natural fragrances
Part of Parkminster’s Kiln Collection, this ceramic pot candle is handcrafted by Sage Ceramics in Sussex and finished in a traditional Shino glaze. Originating from 16th-century Japanese pottery, Shino is known for its warm, earthy tones, subtle texture and naturally unpredictable surface variations. Each piece is completely unique, with soft shifts in colour and character revealed through the firing process.
This current batch features a distinctive nobbly, expressive glazed surface around the exterior, giving each pot a playful, one-of-a-kind character that stands out beautifully on the shelf. No two are the same, making every piece instantly recognisable.
Filled with 175g ℮ of hand-poured soy wax and available in any of our 27+ natural fragrances, each candle offers approximately 35 hours ℮ of burn time and a clean, balanced scent experience.
The ceramic vessel can also be purchased empty as a reusable cup, ideal for coffee, tea or everyday use. Designed to be kept and enjoyed long after the candle has finished, it reflects our approach to thoughtful, lasting homeware.

About Sage Ceramics & Our Kiln Collection Collaboration
Sage Ceramics is a Sussex-based pottery studio creating expressive, hand-thrown stoneware with a focus on texture, form and natural glaze development. Each piece is crafted using traditional ceramic techniques, resulting in vessels that feel both grounded and sculptural, with a strong sense of material honesty.
Their work is known for its richer, more tactile surfaces — from earthy Shino glazes to deep Tenmoku finishes — where kiln reactions, pooling and variation are embraced as part of the final design. No two pieces are ever the same, giving each ceramic pot its own distinctive character.
Our collaboration with Sage Ceramics brings this bold, expressive craftsmanship into Parkminster’s Kiln Collection, combining their distinctive pottery style with our natural soy wax candles and fragrance philosophy. The result is a collection of functional ceramic candle pots designed to be lived with, reused and enjoyed long after the candle has finished.

CANDLE CARE & CLP INFORMATION
We recommend the following candle care tips to get the best results from your Parkminster candle.
Burn your candle for at least 1 hour each time, making sure the wax melts all the way to the edge of the container to prevent tunneling.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris.
Trim candle wick to 5mm (1/4") before each burn.
In the event that your candle wick starts to smoke, extinguish your candle, allow the wax to cool and set, trim it, and then relight it – never trim a burning candle.
Safety first. Don’t leave a flame unattended and make sure it is kept out of drafts.
For a clean and even burn, extinguish your candle when only a small amount of wax remains. Burning it to the very end can cause soot and uneven flames as the wick gets too close to the container
