Each Parkminster Large Votive Candle is carefully hand-poured from plant-grown soy wax in our Fragrance Workshop, where the fragrance is individually blended before being combined with the wax. This ensures that each candle releases its scent evenly and consistently over the burn time of approximately 50+ hours.

Depending on the characteristics of the fragrance, the wax may be poured in a single pour or two separate pours, a technique that prevents dipping, cracking, bubbling, or frosting on the surface of the candle. Once poured, the wax is allowed to cool and set naturally, preserving both the fragrance and the texture of the soy wax.

Because each candle is made to order, no two are exactly the same, and every Large Votive reflects the care and attention applied at each stage of production. Using soy wax rather than paraffin ensures a cleaner burn, lower soot production, and a more sustainable footprint, while supporting the natural aroma of the fragrance oils.

This approach emphasises quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability, providing a natural, long-lasting scented candle that performs reliably in medium and larger rooms.

We recommend the following candle care tips to get the best results from your Parkminster candle.

Burn your candle for at least 1 hour each time, making sure the wax melts all the way to the edge of the container to prevent tunneling.

Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris.

Trim candle wick to 5mm (1/4") before each burn.

In the event that your candle wick starts to smoke, extinguish your candle, allow the wax to cool and set, trim it, and then relight it – never trim a burning candle.

Safety first. Don’t leave a flame unattended and make sure it is kept out of drafts.

For a clean and even burn, extinguish your candle when only a small amount of wax remains. Burning it to the very end can cause soot and uneven flames as the wick gets too close to the container
