Fifteen years! Wow, that went fast.
A decade and a half of scent, craft, and an unwavering commitment to creating something truly special. Reaching this milestone is no small feat—especially in times like these, when small, independent businesses are facing some of their toughest challenges yet. But here we are, still standing strong, still pouring candles, and still doing what we love.
And at the heart of it all is Krystyna.
A Nose for Fragrance, A Vision for our Business
If you’ve ever lit a Parkminster candle and fallen in love with its scent, you have Krystyna to thank. With an incredible nose for fragrance and an intuitive understanding of how scents shape emotions and memories, she has spent the past fifteen years crafting the unmistakable character of Parkminster.
But more than that, she has built a business that stands for something. In a retail landscape dominated by faceless corporations and mass-produced goods, she has held firm to the belief that home fragrance should be made with care, authenticity, and natural ingredients.
Thriving Against the Odds
Running an independent business in the UK today is harder than ever. The high street is suffering—not just from a lack of investment but from the growing dominance of online giants that pull spending away from the communities that need it most. Yet, despite these challenges, Parkminster continues to thrive, thanks to the people who believe in what we do: our customers, our team, and our extended family of makers, friends, and supporters.
Our Journey So Far…
Over the years, we’ve had some incredible moments—stocking the shelves of the National Trust, seeing Parkminster featured in Country Homes & Interiors and House Beautiful and Vogue, growing our natural fragrance range, and moving our workshop to Cornwall, where we now hand-pour every candle in our Fragrance Workshop.
Of course, there have been challenges too. The move to Cornwall was a leap of faith, but it gave us the space to focus on what truly matters: making high-quality, natural, and beautifully fragranced products with integrity.
Through it all, one thing has remained constant: our passion for creating home fragrance that feels personal, genuine, and crafted with care. Every candle, diffuser, and room mist that leaves our workshop is made by hand, by people who love what they do.
Looking Ahead…
Fifteen years is an achievement, but we’re not stopping here. There are more fragrances to blend, more memories to create, and more stories to tell.
