CANDLE CARE & CLP INFORMATION
We recommend the following candle care tips to get the best results from your Parkminster candle.
Burn your candle for at least 1 hour each time, making sure the wax melts all the way to the edge of the container to prevent tunneling.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris.
Trim candle wick to 5mm (1/4") before each burn.
In the event that your candle wick starts to smoke, extinguish your candle, allow the wax to cool and set, trim it, and then relight it – never trim a burning candle.
Safety first. Don’t leave a flame unattended and make sure it is kept out of drafts.
For a clean and even burn, extinguish your candle when only a small amount of wax remains. Burning it to the very end can cause soot and uneven flames as the wick gets too close to the container
Using and Caring for Your Apothecary Jar Candle
Your Parkminster Apothecary Jar Candle, also known as a soy candle in an amber jar, performs best when used thoughtfully. For the first burn, allow the wax to melt fully across the surface to prevent tunnelling and ensure an even melt pool. Always place the jar on a heat-resistant surface, away from draughts.
Before each burn, trim the wick to around 5–7 mm to maintain a steady flame and minimise soot. To preserve the fragrance, extinguish the candle with a snuffer rather than blowing directly. Thanks to the cooler burn of soy wax, these candles produce minimal smoke and residue, keeping your space clean and safe.
Following these simple care steps helps your hand-poured soy candle in an amber jar deliver a consistent, long-lasting fragrance while supporting an environmentally conscious approach to candle making.
