Parkminster began quietly, rooted in a simple desire to live more gently, and to separate ourselves from a lifestyle of stresses, consumerism and negativity.
Over fifteen years ago, founder Krystyna Patey began creating natural body and home fragrance products inspired by her own cottage, Little Parkminster. At the time, she struggled to find products that felt honest, well-made, and thoughtfully priced — so she began teaching herself how to make them. What started at a kitchen table slowly grew into something far more enduring.
Today, Parkminster is an established independent home fragrance company, trusted by hundreds of stockists and thousands of customers across the UK and internationally. From Amsterdam to Tokyo, our products now travel far beyond Cornwall — yet the way we make them has remained intentionally grounded.
Every Parkminster product is still made in-house, by hand, at our Fragrance Workshop. We blend our own fragrances, pour each candle to order, and finish every piece with the same care and attention we did at the beginning. We do not mass-produce, rush, or outsource what matters. This slower, more considered approach allows us to create products that feel personal, purposeful, and quietly restorative.
Scented candles and home fragrance now sit at the heart of what we do. They are created not simply to scent a room, but to support moments of calm — lighting at dusk, resetting a space, or bringing a sense of steadiness into everyday life. We believe fragrance has the ability to ground us, soften the edges of busy days, and restore a sense of balance.
Our commitment to natural materials remains central. We use plant-grown soy wax, a high proportion of essential oils within our fragrance blends, and carefully chosen ingredients across our bath and body collections. We avoid unnecessary additives and work continually to reduce our environmental impact, using recycled and recyclable packaging wherever possible.
Despite our growth, Parkminster remains a hands-on, human business. Our production team is small and experienced, our relationships with stockists are long-standing, and our customers return not just for the fragrances, but for how the brand makes them feel. We are grateful — deeply — for what has come before, and thoughtful about how we move forward.
Parkminster is not built on trends or urgency. It is built on patience, craft, and the belief that small, well-made things can bring genuine comfort in an increasingly demanding world.
