Product Circularity? We’ve been working on that since we began in 2010

At Parkminster Home Fragrance Co, we're dedicated to embracing the principles of Product Circularity. But what exactly does that mean? Product Circularity refers to designing, producing, and managing the lifecycle of products, like our scented candles & natural reed diffusers, in a way that keeps their containers, contents & packaging in use for as long as possible. This sustainable approach focuses on reducing waste, reusing resources, and recycling materials to minimise our environmental footprint. By adopting this model, we're not just creating beautiful home fragrance products, but also contributing to a more sustainable future.

From the very start, way back in 2010, we’ve been conscious of the potential environmental impact of our products, and we’ve worked hard to ensure that we provide eco-friendly options at an affordable price. Our commitment to sustainability starts internally, where we have significantly reduced our impact by becoming nearly plastic-free. No business or household should ever claim to be 100% plastic free but the products we sell have zero to almost no plastics in them. We use recycled paper or card for packaging but we realise that we cannot control some of the plastics that arrive from our suppliers or that are used to avoid breakages or leaks in our liquids. So we recycle 100% of the materials we receive from our suppliers, either reusing them internally or by donating them to local recycling facilities. This dedication allows us to produce our scented candles & reed diffusers with the smallest possible environmental footprint while maintaining the high quality our customers expect.

Even though nearly all of our products & packaging are made using recycled materials, we've gone the extra mile to offer our customer sustainable alternatives to buying ‘new’. We’ve introduced candle refills, reed diffuser refills, and other options that allow our customers to enjoy their favourite fragrances without the need for new packaging. By choosing our refillable products, customers can help reduce waste and enjoy a more sustainable way of refreshing their home’s scent.

To further reduce our environmental impact, we now offer our products ‘without retail packaging.’ This initiative helps to eliminate unnecessary packaging waste, ensuring that less material ends up in landfill. By purchasing our scented candles and natural reed diffusers without retail packaging, customers can enjoy their favourite products while supporting our mission to reduce waste.
